The Act is located on the 42nd floor of the Shangri La Hotel.
It offers a distinctive cabaret style evening combining an "act" (hence the name) performed by award winning and internationally renowned entertainers with delicious Peruvian cuisine and nightlife.
Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, the venue offers a dinner and show from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.
The current show which I had the pleasure of attending recently, is "Toys in The Attic". Expect an act that is sassy and has a dash of sultry humor. "Toys in The Attic" will run for several weeks before a new theme comes out so their Facebook page for new updates.

Something else that makes The Act stands out in Dubai’s scene, besides being the highest theater venue in the world, is the fact that it is the first fine dining restaurant in Dubai to solely offer Peruvian cuisine.
Something that makes The Act standout in Dubai's scene

I love Latin American cuisine and in particular Peruvian, so wasn't hard to convince me to try it. I must say the menu did a great job of translating many of the specialties that you'll find in the street of Peru` and transform them into fine dining dishes without loosing their individual identities. As a country Peru` is blessed to have many different geographical settings which influence the cuisine and The Act's Head Chef Roberto Segura Gonzales has done fantastically in fusing them to create a menu that will give you a great opportunity to try the country's many delicacies, ingredients and aromas.
Signature Dishes

Signature dishes include: a variety of Ceviches, Arroz Con Pato; Papas Rellenas, Camarones con Maracuya and Braised oxtail Empanadas, if you haven't tried Peruvian's food yet, you are sure to be in for a tasty surprise!
The evening is nicely balanced too: the show is timed in a manner that you can enjoy both the entertainment and the food without one overtaking the other, so over all I really enjoyed the evening, and I invite you to try it too, particularly if you have a special event coming up like a birthday, anniversary or celebration, The Act will make your night even more memorable.
